Say Cheese!
My poor kids have had to endure many photo shoots and not been too happy about it but I feel the ends justified the means in this case- man those kids are cute!!!!

Last week we went to the outdoor theater and saw a concert of Sleepy Hollow. It was great with a spooky hayride, time period games yummy pumkin pie, hot chocolate and of course a headless horseman!

Our very own Bryant Park.
So before school started Isabelle was extremely excited about her new clothes , so of course we had to have a fashion show. Grandma and papa so willing provided her with the areana and all the attention she could get. I must say it was hard to keep her still -she was rocking the runway to her favorite tunes, so the pictures are a bit blury.

Zoo Day!
Yes it was about one hundred degrees outside and yes it smelled funny most of the time but oh what fun we had at the zoo. When I asked Isabelle what her favorite animal was we were going to see she said : a princess giraffe. And then gave me a look like duh mom. Oh yes of course silly me. Sadly to say all the royal animals were out for the day but we did meet some other more common ones! I am still playing around with the idea of making up a flyer with our family info on it so every time a complete stranger feels the need to stop us and ask the "twin questions" I will have them all typed up and ready and can just be on my way. Although Isabelle is getting really good though at informing people all about the boys.

How does your garden grow?
We did finally get our garden planted and are now keeping our fingers crossed that something will grow. Unfortunately the babies were quite upset when I was doing the actual planting so Isabelle and I very quickly put the seeds in. The bright side of that -everything got in really fast, the bad thing- I am really not sure what is planted where. So it will be fun to see if and what comes up where

Party Week
I have now finally recovered from our week full of parties. On the 3rd we did indeed take Isabelle to the mall and she got to build a new bear friend which she named "Bella". Then we decided to celebrate cinco de mayo by hosting a block party. It was really fun to eat and hang out with our friends and neighbors. I called our friends the Carvers in New York to get Cim's yummy recipe for carne asada tacos and we had jordan bbq up some steak. There was lots of good food and the kids ended the evening with lots of candy from the pinata.
cupcakes with sprinkles! Isabelle is now officially 4.
But the fun did not stop there- wednesday we took our traditional birthday trip to Chuck E Cheese's. Isabelle had a great time playing with her cousins and opening all her super birthday gifts. ( man this girl is lovin' life)

I love the Amish!!
I was finally given the starter I have been coveting to Amish friendship bread, and it was just as good as I remember it. You know the one that sits on your counter fermenting all week and then you add some milk and flour and a whole bunch of sugar. Sounds repulsive but it is sooo yummy and now if I want we can have it every 10 days. I am thinking of mixing it up and maybe adding bananas one time or zuccini maybe even chocolate but who knows the possibilities are endless- I'll let you know how the experimenting turns out. YUm Yum.

All Aboard
So I did it. I jumped on board the blog wagon express and I'm not looking back. So now that I've got you excited( all 3 of you who will read my posts) I must leave and attend to more pressing matters...diapers, dishes, and of course dinner-which we can now always refer to as the three D's at 4 o'clock. My what an exciting and truly crazy life I lead.
